To start off I want to let you guys know that I wasn't planning on using laxatives but since it was avaliable at the time I thought that it might be useful in an experiment! Forsure it was something I hadn't seen before because once I put the laxatives in, it created massive bubbles throughout the holding tray. But, unlike the adivil-gels, it took over 15 minutes most of the adults and juvinle daphnia to die. Before I go into more detail about the anylasis that I concluded to here below is the paper copy of my observations and dosage quantities! And if you click the link you can see the graph version using how much of Polyethylene Glycol I used and how many daphnia survived after consuming it. It wasn't even that the Daphnia were consuming the laxatives because when I first poured it into the water sample it immidently reacted causing a full top layer of bubbles which I think produce too many air bubbles for the daphnia to breath in.
